Wanda Hitch Abstract Artist 'Vibrant, textured paintings excite my heart and I enjoy creating them.' Wanda's works are vibrant, rich in colour and texture on the canvas. Her more recent works embrace a more fluid approach using acrylic inks on synthetic paper, similar to yupo paper, but still with the power of loud colour. Abstraction using inks for Wanda is very exciting and her passion, while also exploring new ways to create unique and interesting images. Wanda also enjoys painting flowers with ink paint and splashing the canvas with vibrant colour. Developing works based on trees, especially paperbarks, is another of Wanda's passions - the patterned trunks offer a wonderful resource. Wanda lives in the Northern Rivers area of NSW, Australia, and being surrounded by the ocean and river inspires her to paint with the colour blue which she finds to be restful and cooling.
