My interest in creating costume jewellery pieces was quite accidental.  A friend had a stall at a fundraising market fete and I just loved the piece she had donated as a raffle.

I asked her if she ran classes and joined in to learn how to create my own designs.  That began a ten-year love (still going) of the craft.

One of my favourite projects is to redesign and create favourite or sentimental pieces from family jewellery which have broken or worn out.

I chose to use only natural stones – agate, crystal, quartz, glass, shell and wooden beads.

Anna Donale comes from my own middle name and a derivative of my maiden name.

I hope others who choose my pieces also feel special when wearing them.
